Thread, thread and more thread! You should think that I had enough thread with my Aurifil suitcase, but this one was tempting. I have a bit difficult relationship with invisible thread. I like that it "disappears" in the quilt and that it blends with the colors in the fabric.BUT, I don't like that it's shiny. I think it often disturb the quilt. And it's not the best thread in the world to quilt with. Invisafil looks exciting. It's a polyester thread, incredibly thin and extremely strong. They make thirty different colors, so you can always find a color that match. They also says that it disappear into the quilt and is even more invisible than the monofilament thread. I'm looking forward to try quilting with this one. When the time comes. For now I'm sewing and sewing zigzag around all those uncountable little pieces.I have been sewing for five to six hours every day for a fortnight and there will still be some days before I'm ready to threadpaint the details.

We had a mini class in our quilt guild yesterday. We learned to make a simple, but fun to make block. This is what I did.

  1. I will be anxious to hear what you think of the new thread. If it performs as they say it will be wonderful to work with. Good to hear from you, I've missed your posts here and on QWU.
