The garden season is over and it's finaly time to go down in my studio again. The pattern of a new large portrait quilt is on my designwall. I just need to dye som fabric before i start it. I'm also planning to dye more fabrics for sale and they will appear in my website when they are finished. I will eventually make a real webshop, but for now you'll have to send me an e-mail if you want to buy any of my fabrics. There will be multicolored fabrics, gradiations from light to dark in one color and gradiations from one color to another. I will also dye fabrics where the customer choose the colors.
I did some test dyeing on two fabrics. The one marked ROC-LON has Permanent Press. The other is a PFD (Prepared for Dyeing) fabric. The Roc-Lon has a very nice prise, so I wanted to compare it with the PDF on how it took the dye. You can clearly see the difference. They have been dyed with the same amount of dye, water, chemicals and time. It's obvious why we shall keep far away from anything with Permanent Press when we choose our fabric for dyeing.
