The accordion-player is in place now. I have tried to keep him quite simple and I think I have succeeded with that. The accordion was worse. I have cut out some details, but not too many. I might have to use some Shiva sticks to put in some shadows when it is all fused down.
I have also started on the background, but I think I have to do some of the walls too before I am able to decide if I will have to change some of the colors.
The Quilt University class "More Machine Quilting" starts in a week, so the Tango will be put on a hold for a while. I will keep you informed on what I do in the class, but first I'm off to a week up in the Norwegian mountains with husband, two dogs, two children with their spouses and three grandchildren!
Hi Bente, I'm amazed, your Tango-pair and the accordion-player are perfect. Looking forward seeing the rest. In which show are you participateing? This is a first price piece, I'm sure.

Hi Bente, good to see you post again. Your work is amazing. I too look forward to seeing the piece as it progresses. Let us know how the more quilting at QU goes. I have wondered if I should take the beginners class. My FM is pitiful. Enjoy the vacation.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much to both of you :-) I hope to get it finished so I can show it in The Festival of Quilts in Birmingham, England. It's the biggest quilt show in Europe. Then I might show it in the US later in the year, but first we have to see how it turns out when it is finished....
ReplyDeleteJan, I can recommend the beginner machine quilting class. I had done no free motion quilting before I took that class. Carol Miller is a fabolous teacher!

Hi Bente,
ReplyDeleteI love the accordion player - he adds a nice complement to the scene. Your piece is progressing so well! Looking forward also to seeing the finished quilt.
Have a nice vacation!

Hei! Dette var kjempeflott. Inspirerende.
